February 14, 2025 I've found a local temple that might be a good fit. They have a monthly meeting that their website says is good for beginners and they're sister sangha hosts an online meditation every weekday morning, early enough I can attend before work (though I might need to book it a little to avoid being late on some days). I'd like to practice on my own a little first, and have a microphone set up in case they notice a newbie and want me to introduce myself.

Physical Therapy
February 12, 2025 I met with my new primary care doctor this morning and I really like her. She says my insurance covers up to 20 PT sessions for just $25(USD) so my first session is in April. I've started keeping a list of complaints on my phone so I'll know what to tell them, but broadly speaking: I want to:
- Build muscle mass around my shittier joints to improve structural defense against dislocations
- Increase range of motion (ROM) -- as opposed to flexibility (which I have enough of)
- Improve propioception and movement in ways that lessen risk of injury in life/working out
Work (Library)
February 13-14, 2025 We had a day and a half of snow days at workI lost power for a short bit, but around that I sat on the floor in front of my computer, watching Star Trek TOS with Bezoar.

Hobbies (Fibercraft)
February 16, 2025 I wussed out and didn't go to this month's sitting meditation/dharma talk/laughter yoga, but Sunday is still Sunday and I like to spend mine with a big pot of tea and a stack of quiet domestic work, usually mending. My last pair of socks are still holding up really really well so I don't need to mend them today, but I will spend my morning spinning the yarn for the next pair and scouring the wool for the pair after that.
For summer I want to try putting together handspun socks that won't kill me in hot weather, so first I'll try merino wool: I'll prep it worsted, spin very fine, and knit the socks with lots of eyelets lol. This is my first time scouring merino though, and I've heard it's ridiculously hard, so I'm not keeping my hopes up.
